The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) will be conducting a blow-off valve restoration work located at the intersection of Shute Street and Sea Street in the City of Everett. The work is expected to start the week of Monday, October 20, 2025, and take approximately two weeks to complete.
Crews will be on site within the roadway from 7:00AM to 3:00PM, Monday through Friday. A detour will be in place in order to conduct the work. Additionally, police details and appropriate signage will be in place to assist motorists around the work site. During non-work hours, nights and weekends, the detour will not be in place; roadway plates will be installed to enable vehicular access through the site
It is important to note that water service to the surrounding area will continue to be provided while the repair work is underway. However, abutters of the work site may wish to move their vehicles to street parking during work hours.
