Scheduled Water Infrastructure Test in West Roxbury Area

Image

Starting on Thursday, June 5, 2025, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA), in coordination with the City of Boston’s Water and Sewer Commission, will be testing a water meter located within the West Roxbury neighborhood. This metered municipal connection will be shut down for approximately 24 hours starting at 10:00AM.

Important to note, water service to residential homes, businesses, and other properties will not be disrupted. However, discolored water and reduced water pressure may occur while the test is ongoing. Should discolored water occur, please run faucets until water returns to normal clarity (it can take up to approximately 10 minutes) before drinking or using for dishes, laundry, or other household needs. Any pressure issues should be resolved following the scheduled test.
