Starting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA), will commence a walking path restoration project at Nut Island in the City of Quincy. This work will be conducted by Sunshine Paving of North Chelmsford, is expected to take several days to complete, and is weather dependent.
Path restoration will include paving operations to address damage caused by tree roots throughout the walking area. Additionally, some repairs will be made along the Authority’s headworks facility’s access road. Proper signage will be in place and staff will be on site during paving operations to assist visitors around the work areas.
