During the month of February 2024, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) will be conducting water valve maintenance exercises in the following communities throughout the Greater Boston area: the Cities of Everett, Malden, Medford, Somerville, and Watertown, and the Towns of Arlington and Belmont.
This work may result in discolored water but is not expected to create any pressure losses. Should the work cause discoloration, residents and businesses should run their faucets until the water returns to normal (it can take up to approximately 10 minutes).
