A Wonderful Chance

A clean Boston Harbor?
Oh, it can mean a lot of things;
Safe water for ocean life,
For plant life, the deep greens of the depths,

But for me,
For me,

It means an opportunity.

An opportunity to see the world from a new angle.

A beautiful world of blues and grays, or greens and hues, of whites and purples, of darting fish!

Of red lobsters, snapping their claws, little hermit crabs growing out of their shells,
Camping under the brightest stars in the sky,
Filling your vision with only the most wonderful sights,

Little fuzzy bright green ferns bordering the islands,
Pearl filled clams, snails glued to large rocks,

Oh, what a wonderful chance.

Clear, shiny water, which was before had been sloshed with grease,
Reflecting the evening light,
Creating halos around the incoming ships,

The heavy black chain railings;
The neatly paved roads lined with flickering lightbulbs,

02110

A clean Boston Harbor,

is an opportunity.
