IMPORTANT NOTICE

The MWRA has identified water surfacing at Shaft 5 in Weston approximately 220 feet from the previous break. At this time, there are no service interruptions; however, back-up water systems are being readied. MWRA staff are at the site developing an inspection and repair plan.

The MWRA EOC has been opened and updates will be provided on this page if there are any impacts to customers.

UPDATE - AUGUST 26, 2010, 4:30 PM

MWRA crews continue to try to locate the source of the leak in Weston. The volume of the leak has not increased and there are no service interruptions at this time.

We will post further updates if there are any impacts to customers.

FIRST NOTICE - AUGUST 26, 2010, 12:30 PM

The MWRA has identified water surfacing at Shaft 5 in Weston
approximately 220 feet from the previous break. At this time, there are no service interruptions; however, back-up water systems are being readied.
