Objective

Here at MWRA, we support and encourage the educational goals of the next generation. Our Summer Internship Program is designed to expose undergraduate and graduate students to a wide range of career opportunities in the public sector.

Summer Internship Program

Our summer intern program is 12 weeks long and affords students the opportunity to explore jobs that are in keeping with the participant's area of study. Participants will work 37.50 hours per week from May/June to August/September 2022.

*Special Note: Summer field trips are designed to help our students better understand the work that is done at the MWRA, and impact the work that has on the surrounding communities. Trips include Deer Island Treatment Plant, Nut Island, John J. Carroll Water Treatment Plant and many more.

Eligibility Requirements

Students who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for the Summer Internship program:

  • Currently enrolled full time at a college or university, or recent graduate within 6 months of graduation.
  • Women, minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
