This Thursday, May 28, 2020, the Deer Island public access area will be opening again for all to enjoy. Our public access features five miles of public walkways and trails for walking, jogging, sightseeing, picnicking, fishing and bicycling. Please remember to continue to practice social distancing. Avoid large groups, keep at least six (6) feet from others not in your party and wash your hands thoroughly and frequently.

Due to overwhelming interest, parking will be allowed inside the outer gate for overflow parking on weekends from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. There will be a guard stationed at the public access parking lot, directing overflow parking inside the gate, with additional staff inside to help direct parking along the access roadway. Parking must remain in the lot itself before and after the above times.
