MWRA Water Line Work May Cause
Discolored Water in Areas of Malden

The MWRA has isolated several of its water mains due to a water leak on Charles Street in Malden.

On Tuesday, April 5, 2016 the MWRA will be reactivating an extended portion of the isolation.  This may cause discolored water in the Judson Square area (Ward 2) for up to three days. No disruption to water service is expected.

If discolored water does occur, it will result from a small amount of iron in local pipes. Please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used. Residents may want to wait for the water to clear before using it.

If you have any questions, please call Jeff McLaughlin at (617) 305-5762, or MWRA's 24-hour water line at (617) 305-5950.
