MWRA Water Pipeline Work on Fisher Avenue, Brookline Continues, Two Week Road Closure Required

MWRA will continue work on a water main located within Fisher Avenue, Brookline. The work site is located on Fisher Avenue between Leicester Street and Olmsted Avenue.

Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 4 PM. The project is taking longer than previously planned and requires a road closure. Due to weather and unforeseen conditions work will continue into the beginning of March. We will post periodic updates.

Water service to homes will not be interrupted. The mwra and our communities served operate a complex water distribution network consisting of hundreds of miles of pipes and hundreds of valves.  These valves and pipelines connect community water lines to the MWRA’s network of larger pipes.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this important water operation may present.  If you have any questions please contact Jeff McLaughlin at 617-305-5762 or by email at jeffrey.mclaughlin@mwra.com.
