MWRA tracks watershed precipitation levels daily. We post statistics and a running archive every month.

As of April 24, 2008, the Quabbin Reservoir was 99.4% full and the Wachusett Reservoir was 92.6% full. These source reservoirs are capable of holding a combined total of 477 billion gallons of drinking water.

MWRA's source water supply is bolstered by 180 million gallons of water stored in covered facilities at points across the service area, plus an additional 11.2 billion gallons in several emergency back-up reservoirs.

While there are no water restrictions in place, we ask that all of our customers continue to be mindful of their daily water use and avoid wasting water whenever possible. Simple household water conservation is one of the most important ways to keep our water supplies stable for the upcoming summer months.
