MWRA

  1. Did you know the MWRA serves 3.1 million people? Do you know what STEM is? Well STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. In the next paragraph, I will talk about Science.

  2. Science is very important to the MWRA. The MWRA stands for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. Fun fact - the MWRA was built in 1985 so it’s 2019 right now and the MWRA is 34 years old! Science is important because if there is not science they can’t test things out and they won’t know the results.

  3. Technology is important because if there is not technology they won’t be able to communicate and record data into the computer. Technology is used for engineering.

  4. Engineering has to make things that are successful. If it’s not they will have to start over. The MWRA engineered wind turbines and eggs and serve 43 communities. The eggs store scum and sludge.

  5. Math is important in the MWRA. If there is not math in the MWRA theĀ  pipes would have been placed in random places. Math is important because if there is no math they would not know where to locate the pipes.

  6. I hoped that you learned what STEM is. The last thing I want to tell you is thanks to the MWRA for a clean harbor and don’t forget the water they provide us.

The End
