MWRA Advisory: May Valve Exercise Maintenance in the Greater Boston Area

During the month of May 2024, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) will be conducting water valve maintenance exercises in the following communities throughout the Greater Boston area: the Cities of Chelsea, Peabody, and Revere, and the Towns of Marblehead, Nahant, Saugus, and Swampscott.

This work may result in discolored water but is not expected to create any pressure losses. If the work causes discoloration, residents and businesses should run their faucets until the water returns to normal clarity (it can take up to approximately 10 minutes) before drinking or using for dishes, laundry, or other needs.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Troy Wall at (617) 305-5762 or Troy.Wall@mwra.com
