NOTICE: PIPELINE WORK MAY CAUSE
DISCOLORED WATER IN PARTS OF REVERE

On Thursday, August 13, 2009, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will be activating a section of pipeline in Revere. This work may cause discolored water in the Point of Pines, Beachmont, Revere Boulevard and Revere Street areas for a period of up to 3 days.

If discolored water does occur, it will result from a small amount of iron in the pipes. While safe for drinking, cooking and other uses, please note that iron will stain light colored items in your laundry, especially when bleach is used. Therefore, residents should check water clarity before washing any white or lighter colored laundry during this period of work.
