HISTORY CHANNEL TO FEATURE MWRA'S
SLUDGE TO FERTILIZER PROCESS ON "BONEYARD"

MWRA will be featured on the cable TV show "Boneyard" on Thursday, September 20. The program is scheduled to premiere locally at 9:00 p.m. on The History Channel and will be repeated on Friday September 21 at 1:00 a.m.

The episode, "Bio Waste," will highlight ways that organic matter from animals and humans is recycled.

MWRA will be included in the program's final segment, which traces the history of Boston's sewer system from from Paul Revere's privy to the Deer Island Treatment Plant where we recycle methane to heat the plant and make fertilizer out of the treated sludge.
