MWRA Works With Attorney General, State Police to Prosecute Theft

MWRA today thanked the State Attorney General's office and the State Police for their successful prosecution of two construction company employees who were caught stealing equipment from the new Deer Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. MWRA conducted an internal investigation that identified the culprits and provided evidence for the Massachusetts State Police and Attorney General's office to prosecute the cases. Both men pleaded guilty, lost their jobs with the construction company, and agreed to restitution payments and community service time. Both were also sentenced to probation.
